You can make attacks of opportunity with that ranged weapon. You do not provoke attacks of opportunity when making a ranged attack as an attack of opportunity. Normal: While wielding a ranged weapon, you threaten no squares and can make no attacks of opportunity with that weapon.
Ranged weapons don’t actually allow a creature to take attacks of opportunity. To provoke an attack of opportunity for movement, a creature has to move out of a threatened square.
Additionally, what is an opportunity attack? The opportunity attack action allows a melee basic attack against the enemy that provoked it, if the character is able to see that enemy and make a melee basic attack against it.
