Twins photo.

Making photos of a same person, appearing several times in it—is an enormous fun and a great way to express your own creativity.

The lighting setup I used was a straightforward one. A flash as the main light (looking away from the model) with an umbrella to bounce the dispersed light back to the model. And a ringflash with a camera in front of the object. The plan is enclosed below.

Then I made sure everything was fixed in the camera and the flashes—f-stop, exposure time, white balance, flashes—so that the shots will be absolutely identical exposure-wise. After I took the first photo with the model sitting in a shopping cart, he then carefuly dismantled from it and positioned himself behind it.

As you can see above, the cart still slightly moved, but that was not a big deal, because we would use only one frame as a reference image for the cart. Also, you can see the legs of a light stand (which carried the flash with an umbrella), which was photoshopped away in the final stage of the image composition.

The picture above shows that there was nothing magical in Photoshop either. Just two layers, where the top one features only a part of the photo.

And the result of all these manipulations—final image of two twins, enjoying a ride in a cart, in a deserted shopping mall garage. Faster, spin it! :)
